John Tennyson

Managing Attorney

John Tennyson has experience representing clients in business law, intellectual property, estate planning, and criminal defense. He is always a zealous advocate for his clients, and want to be involved with your case as early as possible. John prides himself on his ability to help an entrepreneur develop, implement, and protect his business. John calls upon his litigation experience when necessary to create a case strategy to minimize legal fees while fully protecting what you have built.

John Tennyson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 2002, where he graduated magna cum laude in History. He received a Master’s degree from the New School for Social Research in 2004, where he graduated magna cum laude in Anthropology and was admitted to the PhD program. Between graduate school and law school, he did archeological fieldwork in Rajasthan, served as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York and Eugene Lang College, taught mathematics, and worked for an immigration firm in Vancouver, B.C. John graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2013. In law school, he completed the Business Transaction Concentration, earned achievement awards in Contract Drafting and Constitutional Law, participated in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Team, did clinic work with the Education Law Practicum, and was on the Dean’s list.

James Wiggington

James Wiggington

James Wiggington has a reputation as an adept negotiator and fierce advocate. He is respected for his trial skills, and is always intimately involved in each case in order to best pursue his clients’ interests.

James received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 2010, where he graduated with honors in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Philosophy. Before law school, James worked in a research laboratory. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with his Juris Doctor in 2014. During law school, James worked for the District Attorney in Lebanon, TN, and with the Innocence and Wrongful Convictions Clinic.

With his hard science background, James practices mainly in the area of intellectual property.

Christopher McWhorter

Chris has more than 15 years’ experience in federal criminal law matters. He is a Juris Doctor candidate at the American Institute of Law and a law student member of the California Bar Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Upon admittance, Chris plans to focus his practice of federal criminal defense litigation.

In his personal life, Chris is happily married with four children (two biological, two step). He is an avid MMA fan, holding a blue belt in jiu-jitsu, and an automatic watch aficionado. He is currently working on a federal post-conviction book for federal prisons.
